FORECASTERS have issued a warning to Derbyshire motorists to beware of ice on the roads tonight and Monday morning.
The yellow "be aware" warning from the Met Office comes into force tonight at 8pm and will last until tomorrow at 9am.
A spokesman for the Met Office said it was because a band of rain would move eastwards across the UK today.
He said: "There is uncertainty in the extent of the cloud and rain clearance and, as a result, uncertainty in the temperatures towards dawn on Monday.
"Some road temperatures will fall below zero, with ice forming on untreated surfaces left wet by the earlier rain.
"And heavy showers, wintry in places, will follow into southwestern parts of the UK early on Monday."
