POLICE said a man riding a mobility scooter that was involved in a collision was questioned after he was breathalysed and found to be over the drink-drive limit.
Officers were called to a collision involving the scooter and a car on Wednesday evening.
The incident happened on Ford Street, opposite Limes pub, about 5.35pm.
A Derbyshire Police spokesman said an ambulance attended the scene and the man riding the scooter was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police could not say whether he would be prosecuted for being "in charge of a carriage whilst drunk".
