AT least two students have been excluded from a Derby secondary school following an incident with a BB gun.
It is understood one pupil took the gun to Noel-Baker Community School and another pupil used it to shoot at a third student.
Head teacher Mal Kerr confirmed there was an incident at the Bracknell Drive school on Wednesday.
He said: "We had an incident in school involving a BB gun. This is being dealt with very seriously by governors of the school at the highest level.
"Students are currently excluded pending investigation and will face a panel of governors in the very near future.
"I cannot comment further at this point as I don't wish to prejudice the governors' hearing."
Derbyshire police said they had not received any report of the incident.
