A 21-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed after he was found carrying a plastic egg containing drugs.
Perrie Melladay was sentenced to three years and eight months after admitting two counts of possessing drugs with intent to supply when he appeared at Derby Crown Court.
Melladay, of no fixed address, was stopped by officers in Normanton Road, Derby, on the evening of April 10.
They searched him and found a plastic egg in his pocket containing crack cocaine and heroin.
PC Kam Sanghera, who led the investigation, said after the case: "I hope other people who try to deal drugs in Derby see this sentencing as a deterrent."
