A LAST-GASP winner from Carlos Edwards sent Derby County to a 1-0 home defeat against Ipswich Town.
Edwards struck in the third minute of added time to secure a vital three points for Mick McCarthy's men.
Derby had earlier missed a fourth successive penalty when Jamie Ward's spot kick was kept out by Scott Loach, while Conor Sammon was denied by the woodwork and Chris Martin had a goal ruled out for offside.
Nigel Clough's men gained the initiative following an evenly-fought opening.
Ward and Craig Bryson were both denied by Loach before Sammon saw his 29th-minute effort rebound off a post.
At the other end, David McGoldrick's rising drive was held by Frank Fielding, while Daryl Murphy just failed to connect with Edwards' low centre.
In the 44th minute, Richard Keogh was adjudged to have been pushed by visiting defender Tommy Smith following a corner.
Smith, who had just been booked, escaped further punishment and Ward's low penalty was blocked by the legs of Loach.
Derby also had their chances after the break.
Martin turned Sammon's low centre into the net after 62 minutes but the flag was up for offside.
Jake Buxton and Ward both headed narrowly wide, while Jeff Hendrick's low drive was parried by Loach.
The Rams looked most likely to break the deadlock but Aaron Cresswell flashed a late effort just over and some brave defending from Keiron Freeman denied Jay Tabb from close range.
Derby will argue that Freeman was clearly fouled in the build-up to the goal.
As it was, Paul Coutts lost possession to substitute Guirane N'Daw and Edwards charged forward before lashing a 20-yard shot past Fielding.
