Burton Albion's hopes of automatic promotion from League Two took a big hit when they were beaten 1-0 at home by Chesterfield.
Drew Talbot's 52nd-minute cracker, smashed in from 30 yards, separated the sides as Burton's proud record of nine straight home wins came to an end.
In truth, the Brewers rarely looked like extending that record in their most lacklustre performance for some time.
Neither side was especially good: neither keeper was seriously troubled in the game, apart from the shot that Tomlinson had no chance of saving.
To cap Burton's woe, Robbie Weir finally picked up the 10th booking of the season which will see him serve a two-match suspension late in the game.
