More than £1,800 has been raised by the Rotary Club of Derby through its Trees of Light appeal. The campaign – supported by the Derby Telegraph – urged people to sponsor the city's Christmas lights. Representatives from charities chosen to benefit from the appeal were among those collecting donations from the club at Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
