A 36-year-old man has today been charged with nine offences – including three rapes - in the Peartree and Normanton areas of Derby.
Harbinder Singh Khatkar, of Moorside Crescent, Sinfin, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court in Derby this morning and was remanded in custody.
He was charged with two counts of rape against one woman and causing her actual bodily harm.
He was also charged with false imprisonment, sexual assault, rape and trespassing on a premises with the intent to commit a sexual offence in relation to a second female victim.
Khatkar was also accused of robbing a third woman and a second count of trespassing on a premises with the intent to commit a sexual offence.
All of offences are alleged to have happened on Saturday morning.
Investigating officers have appealed to anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault in the area to come forward if they haven't already reported it.
