TWO people have been arrested after an alleged hit-and-run incident which left two people in hospital.
Officers were called just after 1.30pm yesterday to reports of a disturbance at the Malt Shovel public house in Potter Street, Spondon.
According to police, all the people involved had been attending a wake in the pub.
A fight had broken out which had then apparently spilled outside into the quiet residential area.
Two women and one man were then struck from behind by a car as they left.
An elderly woman and a man were then taken by ambulance to the Royal Derby Hospital, with the man thought to have suffered a broken leg. The other woman walked away with cuts and bruises.
Police later arrested a man and a woman in connection with the incident. Anyone with any information should call police on 101.
