WHILE the supermarket and department stores battle it out in the festive advertising stakes, we thought we should have a look at some old Christmas-time promotions.
Can you remember the hilarious one for Denim aftershave?
You know the one with the slogan spoken by an American with a very deep voice: 'For men who don't have to try too hard'.
It was seen as cringe-worthy back in 1979 - but it is even funnier now and really shows how times have changed.
Watch it here:
You see the torso of a man wearing an unbuttoned shirt - then a woman's perfectly manicured hand comes across the screen onto the man's chest.
You may laugh - but the campaign must have worked for Faberge because dads up and down the country were unwrapping Denim aftershave on Christmas morning.
Do you remember the advert? Tell us your memories of Christmas back then.
You may be surprised to know that Denim is still available to buy - but would you buy it as a gift for someone?
