TRAVELLERS have moved onto a park in Wilmorton and intend to stay "as long as possible".
Three caravans and a small truck have moved onto the site off Eton Street.
One traveller, who would not be named, said no more caravans would be coming as it is a small family that is staying there.
She said: "We moved on yesterday afternoon and will stay as long as possible.
"It's a case of waiting for the eviction process."
Asked how the caravans had got onto the site, she said she "did not know".
Joe Demidh, 54, lives nearby and walks his dog in the park every morning.
He said: "The last time travellers came onto the site was a year or a couple of years ago.
"It's not the best thing. You've just got to be careful of the dogs."
