LABOUR candidate Alan Charles has been elected as Derbyshire's first Police and Crime Commissioner.
He beat opponents Simon Spencer, of Conservative, and UKIP's David Gale and independent Rod Hutton to take the role.
Mr Gale and Mr Hutton were eliminated after the first count at Alfreton Leisure Centre, with Mr Charles elected after the second.
