THE Met Office has issued a yellow warning across Derby and Derbyshire with heavy rain and high winds due to hit the county today.
Prolonged showers are due to arrive in the city this morning and move north east across the county.
A spokesman said the rain will die out throughout the afternoon but patchy showers will remain.
And strong winds, possibly up to 40mph, could also move across Derbyshire in the late afternoon and early evening.
