RADIO presenter Colin Bloomfield – who is battling cancer at the age of 32 – has been told that his tumours have shrunk further.
The BBC Radio Derby presenter was given the results of scans yesterday following treatment after it was found that the cancer had spread to his brain.
He tweeted: "Thanks for all the messages today. Scan looks to show further tumour shrinkage in the brain, altho need a radiologist to confirm officially.
"Hopefully that'll be in the next week. The hope from the docs is that they can continue treatment with radiotherapy. Encouraging news."
Colin was put on a drug called Zelboraf to help shrink tumours on his brain and lungs.
After 10 days of being on the treatment, specialists said Colin's tumours had shrunk "significantly".
Colin was inundated with messages, replying to one he said: "Long road ahead but good to get positive news."
