DERBY County have confirmed Umbro as their new official kit supplier. They take over from Italian company Kappa and will produce all of the Rams' matchday and training gear as part of a four-year deal.Derby wore Umbro kits during the most successful period in their history, when they won two league titles and reached the European Cup semi-final during the 1970s. New home, away and third strips, which will carry the logo of new main shirt sponsor JUST EAT, are to be revealed shortly. "Umbro are a leading global sports brand and here at Derby County we are delighted to be associated with them once again," said Rams chief executive Sam Rush. "They are a brand who were synonymous with club in the 1970s and the timing of the partnership is particularly poignant, as this season is 40 years since the club embarked on their second Championship-winning League campaign. "We have worked closely with Umbro to provide supporters with a new kit and exciting product range, which will be revealed in the very near future." Paul Nugent, vice president of Global Marketing for Umbro, added: "As one of the founding members of the Football League, Derby's football heritage is unquestionable. "We are celebrating 90 years in football, so it's great to welcome the Rams back into the Umbro family as they look for promotion to the Premier League. "Derby has everything in place to return to the top flight – a youthful squad, a first class stadium as well as a loyal and passionate set of fans – so we are excited about the season ahead." Derby struck a deal two years ago with the company that supplies both Kappa and Umbro, with Rams chief operating officer John Vicars recently stating that the club had the option to switch brands.
