THESE pictures show what's in store at Derby's new city centre cycling hub ahead of its launch later this month.
The £670,000 Park Bikeworks in Full Street will include 150 free bike parking spaces, showers, changing facilities, an accessories shop and repairs service.
Cyclists will also be able to enjoy food at a cafe and have physiotherapy sessions if their bodies are in need of a service.
Mark Smith, from Cycle Derby, who along with Simon Ingham, from Bennetts, is behind the project, said: "It is amazing to see this place two years after it was conceived.
"This is going to be a real hub for cycling in the city and has brought jobs as well as sustainable transport to the area."
On the bottom floor of the three-storey building, people will be able to wheel their pride and joy into the secure bike park.
Here, they will sign their bicycle in and be given a unique number which they have to provide, along with photographic identification, to remove their bike.
Commuters and shoppers will be able to leave their helmets and other cycling gear in the lockers and, if they have worked up a sweat, there are showers available.
On the second floor is a cafe, bike shop and balcony.
The bike shop sells Derby brands including Stanton Bikes, Moda and cleaning product specialist Purple Harry.
Stanton Bikes founder Dan Stanton said: "Despite being from Derby, I have a bigger presence in other cities.
"I think that is because other areas have a more established cycling culture. This project will really increase my profile, and cycling in general, in Derby."
The Park Bikeworks will open its doors on Saturday, June 14, and will be open from 7.30am until 6.30pm Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm Saturdays and 10am until 4pm on Sundays.
