BURGLARS smashed their way into a Derby takeaway and stole a safe from the office before driving off.
Three raiders targeted the Pizza Hut takeaway, in Uttoxeter New Road, at about 2.30am this morning.
One of the offenders smashed the window and then forced his way into an office, where the safe was then taken from.
The three men then ran back out of the store and drove off in a light-coloured car towards Derby city centre.
Police investigating the burglary want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area or the break-in itself to call them on 101, quoting crime reference 22664/14.
