Child airlifted to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after serious collision in Littleover

A 12-YEAR-OLD girl has been airlifted to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a serious car collision in Littleover. The incident happened at Blagreaves Road at around 3.15pm and police have blocked the road. A police spokesman said officers are still at the scene and she has been airlifted to the Queen's Medical Centre, Nottingham. Marion Keeling, of Heather Crescent, Littleover, said: "I did not see what happened but went over to see what happened. "I have done basic first-aid so I offered to help. "Someone had called an ambulance which came here really quickly. "I tried to talk to the girl but she was unconscious. "I hope and pray she will be alright." Kevin Glynn, of Gayton Avenue, Littleover, noticed the air ambulance arrive. The 47-year-old said: "I noticed them flying over a field so I went to the scene to see what had happened. "The road was shut and people were out of their houses looking at what had happened. "The road was shut when I got there. "What has happened is very worrying and concerning."
