DERBY County fans will fill the South Stand at the iPro Stadium again should the club reach the play offs.
Away fans, no matter the opposition, will be housed in the South East corner for a home semi-final leg.
Derby did this against Nottingham Forest on Saturday as a trial ahead of next season when all away support will be housed in the South East corner.
Preston brought 4,201 supporters and Southampton 4,878 in the previous two play-off semi-final legs held at the stadium in 2005 and 2007.
The ruling states the away club is given a minimum of 2,000 tickets or a minimum of 10% if less than 2,000.
