The mobile phone network EE is "working hard" to fix what is thought to be a significant signal outage.
Frustrated EE customers in many parts of the UK have bombarded the company with complaints over Twitter demanding to know why they have been without a signal this evening.
Customers in Derbyshire are among those affected.
On Twitter, the company said: "Huge apologies for the outage tonight.
"There seems to be some Gremlins in the system - we're working hard to fix.
"Apologies for the inconvenience."
