Derbyshire Police have issued a warning after a Derby man became the latest participant in a dangerous new internet craze called NekNominate.
In the video seen by the Derby Telegraph the man, dressed only in pants and a bow tie, appears to drink cider mixed with his own urine and three live goldfish.
NekNominate is sweeping Facebook and has been condemned after already claiming two lives.
In the video clip, the man opens a can of cider and fills a pint glass with it before adding eggs. He then appears to urinate in the glass.
Next he adds what appears to be battery oil and three live gold fish - before drinking the entire contents.
The video has already attracted 133 likes and comments including: "Smashed it knew you would come good the fishes are your secret weapon."
Others said: "That should go viral hats off mate that's class" and "That is by far the sickest one I've seen. Gagged watching it."
In a second video, thought to have been shot at Mappleton Bridge near Ashbourne, another man is seen to down a pint of liquid before plunging into the river below.
This video has 102 likes and comments including: "Oh yes !!!" "The best I've seen yet! Xx"
A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: "Drinking large amounts of alcohol in a short space of time can have very serious consequences.
"Apart from the risk of accident or injury as a result of drinking to excess and partaking in inappropriate behaviour, those involved could also be putting themselves in danger of becoming a victim or perpetrator of crime.
"I would urge people to act with responsibility when drinking alcohol and avoid putting themselves in unnecessary danger."
The NekNominate drinking craze, also known as Neck and Nominate and NekNomination, is organised via social media. In the game, one drinker films themselves 'necking' a drink, and nominates two people to do 'better'. They do the same, and so on.
As the game progresses, the stunts performed get even more outrageous and potentially dangerous.
Malcolm Hall, customer care manager at RSPCA Derby, said people who commit animal cruelty should be prosecuted like cat killer Mark Booth from Ripley.
The 48-year-old said: "What people need to understand is the RSPCA will prosecute people who commit cruelty to animals because we are always against it.
"When I hear of these new cases they always seem to beat the last worst case.
"It's crazy because people should have more respect.
"It's a shame people have not got better things to do and it's very unacceptable.
"The cat story does prove the RSPCA will prosecute.
"From a personal point of view I think it's a pretty sad state of affairs that we live in a place where these things can be acceptable."
