IPSWICH Town boss Mick McCarthy is reported to be chasing Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong.
The former Wolves midfielder Frimpong could be a loan target for the Tractor Boys.
It is understood that Arsenal won't stand in the Ghanaian midfielder's way should he find a new club next month.
SUNDERLAND are reported to be set to make a £2m move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Liam Bridcutt.
Black Cats boss Gus Poyet is set to table an offer for the midfielder when the transfer window opens next week as he prepares to shake up his squad.
Bridcutt, 24, was signed by Poyet from Chelsea in 2010 and has established a reputation as one of the most highly-rated playmakers outside the Premier League.
BLACKBURN ROVERS manager Gary Bowyer hopes to complete a permanent deal for on-loan midfielder Tom Cairney in January.
Hull City have rejected one bid for the 22-year-old, who has scored twice in 21 appearances during his time at Rovers.
"We're constantly talking and trying to resolve it but we have to be respectful of the fact he is a Hull player," said Bowyer.
"I'll be speaking to [Hull boss] Steve Bruce, unless he changes his number because he's sick of me ringing him."
