AN ELDERLY woman was robbed while waiting at a bus stop in Derby.
Carmen Powell, 86, said she was about to place a bracelet on her wrist when she was approached by a woman offering to sell her two rings.
Mrs Powell, who was at a stop along Uttoxeter New Road, said the woman placed the rings in her hand and told her: "You buy, you buy."
The pensioner said she asked the woman to go away and seconds later a car pulled up.
Mrs Powell said the woman got into the vehicle and, at that point, she realised her bracelet was missing. Mrs Powell said: "I called after her but the car drove off.
"I paid £71 for the bracelet. I'm very angry. It happened so quickly.
"People should be careful of this sort of thing."
The incident happened at 10.20am on Saturday.
