POLICE are trying to trace the owner of a dog which attacked another dog in the street.
A woman told officers she was walking her pet in Sinfin Avenue, Shelton Lock, at 5pm on Thursday.
As she did so, a man with a Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog, which she said was not on a lead, came towards her. She said his animal attacked hers, leaving it needing treatment from a vet.
Police have searched the area and are appealing to anyone who may know the dog or its owner to contact them.
Anyone with information is urged to call Police Community Support Officer Chris Wright on 101.
