A YOUNG Rams fan will see his anti-racism film played on Pride Park's big screen today after coming third in a national competition.
Sean Treece, from Chaddesden, made the movie with his school friends for the contest, run by the Show Racism The Red Card campaign.
The 12-year-old, who is in Year seven at St Martin's School, filmed his pals repeating the anti-racism message.
The film is being screened at Derby County's match today and will be shown at Westfield Derby too.
He was also presented with a certificate by members of England's ladies football team at Chelsea's football ground Stamford Bridge.
And he was invited on a tour of the ground with his support worker Kerry Walthro.
Sean, a Rams fan, said: "I hope people see my video and it helps them to understand how important it is to live together without racism – and not just in sport.
"I now can't wait to see it."
Garry Dodds, headteacher at St Martin's, said Sean did a "brilliant" job.
He said: "He was up against sixth-form students and secondary school pupils so the competition was tough.
"We're all very proud of him and it's great that Sean has found something that he has a real interest in and gives him a lot of confidence.
"Racism is a very topical issue at the moment with a number of high profile players being involved in incidents.
"I think it's something that is very important and it needs resolving.
"All of the pupils feel very strongly about it and understand it's important.
"This is highlighted because Derby is a multi-cultural city and we are a part of that. There needs to be a strong message to people that this is wrong."
Kerry will be with Sean today as guests at Pride Park for the match against Millwall.
She said: "We had a really, really good day at Chelsea.
"Sean really enjoyed the tour and we got to go in the changing rooms and sat where Jose Mourinho used to sit.
"When you saw the competition he was up against it makes it even better because they were all older than him.
"Now we can't wait for the match today."
