A MURDERER who absconded from Sudbury prison has been arrested in Manchester.
Darran Heywood, who also uses the name Darren Hayward, absconded from HMP Sudbury on Saturday.
The 43-year-old was sentenced at Manchester City Crown Court in May 1999 to life imprisonment for murder.
He was arrested yesterday by Greater Manchester Police.
