THE number of people looking for work in Derby and Derbyshire has risen.
Figures released by the Office for National Statistics this morning show that the number of jobseekers in Derby went up by 156 last month, to 7,833 - the first monthly rise since July.
In the rest of the county, the dole queue went up by 703, to 15,103, which is the first time the figures have risen since August.
But both are well down on January 2012, when there were 8,558 jobseekers in Derby and 17,359 in Derbyshire.
