SHEFFIELD Wednesday - Derby County's opponents this weekend - have signed England Under-21 striker Connor Wickham on loan from Premier League club Sunderland.
The 19-year-old is expected to go straight into the Owls squad to face the Rams at Hillsborough tomorrow (Saturday, 3pm).
Wickham joined Sunderland from Ipswich Town in a deal that could be worth £12m.
However, he has found his chances limited, especially after the recent arrival of Danny Graham from Swansea City.
As a result, Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill has allowed the player to move out on loan in order to get some game time.
Wickham scored in England Under-21s' 4-0 win over Sweden on Tuesday night - a game that Derby midfielder Will Hughes also played in.
